Pulled pork slides to victory
Given that we had the opportunity to put together a braai for the Currie Cup final … in January! We thought it an opportune time to get a little wild and whacky with our flame game, incentivising those tong-masters willing to play along with a fantastic prize from 1 FOR THE ROAD.
And while we certainly did not see anyone using a wheelbarrow as a braai, or making turtles out of bacon and cheese grillers, we did see a little creativity from a few tong masters.
Leading the pack, and thus taking home the 6 month subscription from 1 FOR THE ROAD – the driving service that takes you home safely in the comfort of your own car after you have had a few chiboolies round the fire – is Herman Hamersma (@howzatherman).
Herman put together a few delicious looking pulled pork sliders with homemade everything … dry rub, coleslaw, and sweet potato fries. The pork spent 10 hours in the Weber, low and slow.
Congrats Herman. We will be in touch to sort out the prize handover.
