Because today’s the day the, Teddy Bears have their picnic!

But it’s not only the Teddy Bears who will be picnicking this festive season, though. One lucky tong-master and their better half will be joining them!

This weekend (Friday 4 December to Sunday 6 December), we will be giving away a Classic picnic for 2 from the legendary Jonkershuis Eatery in Constantia valued at R420.00, together with a branded barrel lid board valued at R300.00.

Different … Sure … But pretty cool!

To enter, simply post a pic of your braai on Twitter sometime between Friday and midnight on Sunday with the tag #ratemybraai in the text. To be eligible for the prize, you need to be following us on Twitter – @ratemybraai.

Have some fun posting all your braai pics, but what we are looking for this week is something that can be served on a board. Sliced steak on a plankie? For sure! But might you get a little more creative than that?

Community ratings and the number of ratings each submission gets will most definitely also be an influencing factor, but we will leave the final decision to the head chef at Jonkershuis.

That’s the good news – the bad news is that we can only fulfil this prize to those of you that are prepared to collect from Jonkershuis in Cape Town. So if you can’t make the trip to the fairest Cape yourself, perhaps turn it into a truly fabulous Christmas present for a mate or family member who can make the trip?
