It was an interesting competition this:

Gooi some steaks on the coals and present a really cracking plate of food, worthy of a Michelin star! Quite hard to do in fairness as by the time the meat comes off the grid and rests for a bit, we just want to cut it into strips and get eating!

That said, there were a few TONG-MASTERS that managed to follow the brief and we’re pleased to announce that our winner (chosen by PATINA) is  @Meat_Ranger

Beautifully cooked steak and really well presented. “Would be proud to serve this in our restaurant…” was the accompanying comment and we’re not surprised. Looked absolutely delicious! Massive congrats to MEATRANGER and our thanks again to PATINA for this awesome prize.

For those that didn’t win, we want to thank you for giving it a crack. Yes it’s a competition but first and foremost, it’s a bit of fun – an opportunity for all of us to showcase our braai skills and get some tips and tricks from others in the community. Got to say that we’re excited to see what’s coming up over the Christmas holidays and we look forward to seeing some truly splendid braais.
